Jackadoodles – When Crossed Between Jack Russell & Toy Poodle

Update On Double Lead

Posted on | December 17, 2009 | No Comments

I have gone back to two leads… although I still walk them using a single hand, because it is cold and the other is firmly thrust into my pocket, I have found two are better than one. If I hold each lead through the loop at the top, I can actually wind one lead around two fingers and the other around the other two. This gives me more control over each dog. With a slight raise of a finger I can give direct orders to the right dog. With the double lead it was a touch of hit and miss and sometimes Enzo would end up with a small tug when Marley should have been the recipient.

However over the past month of walking the two together they have got  a lot better at walking in tandem. Enzo always adopts the outside position, while Marley is happy to trot between the two of us. It is very nice to see them both behaving and the amount of times I have been stopped is unbelieveable. It seems that everyone loves my little Jackadoodles.

This site is dedicated to Jackadoodles... a crossbreed between a Jack Russell and a Toy Poodle.
Although we will focus mainly on our own two Jackadoodles, Enzo and Marley, we will also be launching a photogallery for all your Jackadoodle pictures. To also allow extra contributions, we will be adding a page for your own stories.
Please keep coming back, and supporting our effort.
